Art in Churchs

In September 2016, we students of the College Augustinian St. Joseph had a tour to visit the city's churches, the churches were the Redentora, the Basílica and the Ortodoxa. The first two are larger and more modern paintings churches, even the Orthodox do not have many modern paintings it remains one of the most beautiful and I enjoyed visiting this church, it is not something we are accustomed. This tour was cool, we can watch it several valuable works. Many people who live far away want to visit these churches and we're not close fellas

Testimonial

    This testimonial is about how me, Javier and Murilo met.
    In 2010 me and Javier were in our friend house in Gaivota 1, in july vacations, our friend was invited to a party in Murilo's house  so we went with him. In the party me and Javier thinked in go talk to Murilo because we dididn't knew him, we talked a lot, really we talked like non stop 3 hours. After a lot talk he invited us to sleep in his house, me and Javier rejected because wouldn't be polite to our friend.
    In the next day Murilo didn't want to talk with us, me and Javier didn't understand, because we haved explain to him why we couldn't sleep in his house in previous night.
    Javier and me stayed at our friend house in the hole week, even in a single minute Murilo didn't stop ignored us, have one time that he went to our friend house, slept there when dididn't even say a word to us
    In august the classes were back Murilo still was ignoring us, but after a week Murilo invited me to his house and told me to not tell Javier about. He told me that he was joking us and to me started to ignore Javier for him be confused.
    We tryed to do that but after a hour he realized what was happend and we laugh a lot, after that we become friends!

Book Review

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

The book tells the story of Arthur Dent, a human who is about to have his house destroyed, to be built a detour. Even after much discussion , Arthur has his house demolished , but not only your home, as your entire planet . He and his friend Ford Prefect , an alien disguised that was on Earth doing research for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy embark on a ship of Vogons ( beings that destroyed the planet earth) and manage to escape the tragedy. From this, Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect begin your adventures exploring the universe.Unlike all science fiction books , The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy , does not try to "save" the planet Earth, they are searching for the meaning of life

Curiosities about Frankenstein:

1. The monster known as Frankenstein is not called Frankenstein. This is actually the name of its creator. Victor Von Frankenstein, a chemistry student, biology, anatomy and natural philosophy, built a hideous monster in his lab with pieces of sewn bodies and resuscitated with an electrical discharge on a stormy night.

2. When you find that is rejected by all the creature decides to take revenge on his creator. Wherever he goes, Frankenstein leaves a trail of death and revenge.

3. The "Frankenstein" book (or "Modern Prometheus") was written by the English Mary Shelley (1797-1851), published in 1818.

4. The idea came on a rainy night while on holiday in Switzerland. She met with several friends, including her husband, the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron. Each of them had to write a horror story.

5. Frankenstein won several film versions. The first was in 1931 with British actor Boris Karloff (1887-1969). The most recent (1994) had Robert De Niro in the lead role.

6. In 1935, the theater produced "The Bride of Frankenstein" and four years later, "Frankenstein's son."

7. In 1975, Radu Florescu, a professor of Eastern history at Boston College in Massachusetts (United States), made a revelation: Mary Shelley would have been inspired by dr. Konrad Dippel (1673-1734).

8. The German Dippel was a famous alchemist for inventing, by chance, hydrocyanic acid. He had two fixed ideas: make gold from base metals and give life to the dead. Dippel was expelled from Strasbourg, accused of exhuming bodies "for bizarre anatomical experiments."

9. Another coincidence: Dippel quarreled with a family called Frankenstein for possession of a castle.

10. In 1979, however, the English Peter Haining announced another discovery: Mary Shelley would have inspired amateur scientist Andrew Crosse (1784-1855), author of audacious electromagnetic and metallurgical experience. Thus, the origin of Frankenstein doctor was never quite resolved.
